Setting up a Global Registry

To setup a docbase as a Global Registry,



1. Login to the docbase to check if the user  "dm_bof_registry" is active (User State -> Active)


2.  Add the following entries to the dfc.properties file



dfc.bof.registry.repository=
dfc.bof.registry.username=dm_bof_registry
dfc.bof.registry.password=






3. Password for the dm_bof_registry user  must be encryped before being added to the dfc.properties file. To encrype password, please use the dm_encrypt_password.exe file

In-Place upgrade of Docbrokers & Docbase to 6.5

Once the Content Server has been upgraded to the new 6.5 version, we can now proceed to upgrade the docbrokers & docbases.

First with the docbrokers first & then proceed to docbase

Installing Documentum Administrator (DA)

Installation of Documentum Administrator is very simple. You need to have an Application server installed on your system before you proceed. I installed Tomcat Application server on my server before starting. Here are the screen shots of the installation process.









As I mentioned earlier, making sure Tomcat (Application server) is installed properly and available before proceeding with the DA installation









Creates the instance name (da1) in this case.






So, now the installation is complete and to access DA, follow the URL from the browser.
